Department of Fisheries - Official Language Section
Department of Fisheries came into existence on 5 February 2019.For smooth functioning of the work related to the Official Language as enshrined in the Constitution of India, the Department of Fisheries had proposed the creation of Official Language posts, which was agreed to by the Department of Expenditure in December, 2021. In March, 2022, the Department of Official Language recruited one Assistant Director (Official Language) and two Junior Translation Officers for this department. Assistant Director (OL) assumed charge in the Fisheries Department on April, 2022; Two junior officers also took charge. In this way, from April 2022, the Official Language section officially started functioning in the Department of Fisheries .
Work done by Official Language Section
Translation Work: Official Language Section is responsible for translation work from English to Hindi and from Hindi to English including:- Starred and Unstarred Questions, Supplementary Notes for Starred Questions, Annual Reports, Outcome Budget, Standing Committee Notes, Reports/Presentations, Cabinet Note, List of Subjects for Parliamentary Standing Committee, Reports and Submissions of Subordinate Legislation Committee, All kinds of Assurances, Matsya Sampada Patrika and other magazines, Speeches/Statements of Hon'ble Ministers, Talking Points of Ministers and Ministers of State, Recruitment Rules, Press Notes, press releases, VIP references, demi official letters, general letters, letters to subordinate offices, office memorandums, office orders, circulars, letters sent to various states, print media reports, inaugurations, seminars and related to PMMSY scheme programs Invitation letter and program outline.
Official Language Implementation Work: Aggregative data and preparing Quarterly Report, Half Yearly Report and Annual Report of Department of Fisheries , Preparing and sending it to the Department of Official Language, Reviewing Quarterly Report of Subordinate Offices, Issuing Circulars Regarding Official Language Constitutional Provisions, Issuing Check Points , Organizing the meetings of the Departmental Official Language Implementation Committee, all work and follow-up action in relation to the Joint Hindi Advisory Committee, all matters related to the inspection of the Parliamentary Official Language Committee in the Department and subordinate offices, correspondence with the Committee Secretariat, the official language of the Department of Fisheries on the website Work related to preparation of content of the link and updating of this link, correspondence with the Department of Official Language, work related to Rajbhasha in-house e-magazine-"Matsya Bharti", organization of Rajbhasha Pakhwada activities, preparation and issue of glossaries, notes and progressive use in drafting Issuing useful words and phrases, work related to official language posts in the department and subordinate offices, ensuring implementation of the annual program of the Official Language department, organizing workshops, roster regarding Hindi knowledge and educational qualification of officers and employees working in the department. Preparing data, maintaining it and accordingly taking action to nominate for training and contacting the relevant training institute and getting the training done as per requirement, implementation of various progressive schemes of Official Language, notified to the office under Section 10(4) of the Official Language Act. Work related to official language, implementation of constitutional provisions of official language and monitoring of official language activities of Department of Fisheries and all work for official language friendly environment.
